Severn Link plan for route

High-speed passenger craft could be running across Bristol Channel from around Easter 2010 in a new service linking Swansea and llfracombe. Severn Link, the brainchild of Chris Marrow, will have a passage time of 50 minutes compared to around four hours needed for the road journey from South Wales to North Devon. The 40m Flying Cats FastcatrnRyde and Fastcat Shanklm, recently displaced from wightlink's Portsmouth-Ryde, are being purchased and Severn Link say Swansea-llfracombe could be the first of a series of routes across the Bristol Channel.
