Day master: Phil Hudson is one of two captains, in charge of everything from paperwork to ship handling. Phil has served for 16 years with P&O Ferries on all the Irish Sea ships except Express. Before P&O, he worked for Texaco on tankers going round the world. He manoeuvres the ship when arriving at Dublin, the night master undertaking the job when in Liverpool, while both are on the bridge during arrival at Liverpool and departure from Dublin.
