Jensen adds new vessels

Jensen Maritime Consultants, a Crowley Maritime Corp subsidiary, has completed the design of three additional tugboats for the Moran Towing Corp, a New Canaan tug-and-barge operator on the US East and Gulf Coasts. The additional vessels will bring Moran's Jensen-designed series of tugs to five. Construction of the new vessels is currently under way at the Washburn & Doughty Shipyard at East Boothbay, Maine, with delivery in 2012.rnThe trio are virtually identical in design to two earlier Jensen-designed ASD tugs, Capt Jimmy Moran (pictured) and Shiney V, Moran, built in 2008 and 2009 respectively, with the exception of some internal modifications.
