Compliant carriers

Almi Tankers SA of Greece has taken delivery of the 157,787dwt Almi Horizon, the first of ten Suezmax tankers it is having built by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering's main shipyard at Okpo, South Korea. All of the ships are being finished to high environmental specifications, with the first seven having been verified by Lloyd's Register to be in accordance with the voluntary energy-efficiency requirements of the International Maritime Organization's Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI).
