MP probes wightlink debts

Fears have been expressed that Wightlink's debts to parent company Macquarie are the real reason behind cuts to winter services and recent staff redundancies. Isle of Wight MP Andrew Turner raised the matter during a meeting with business secretary Vince Cable and said he hopes an Island delegation, including commuters and union representatives, could be formed to highlight the impact of the cuts.
