Challenge return in sight

Major progress has been made with restoration of the 82-year-old steam tug Challenge at Shpreham by the Dunkirk Little Ships Restoration Trust (DSLRT). A new boiler, built by Byworth Boilers of Keighley, has been installed, allowing shimming and refitting of refurbished white metal bearings to the main engine crankshaft to proceed, and her top deck and funnel have been replaced.
