On 13 September, while Harmony of the Seas was berthed in Marseille, one of her boats became detached from its falls and fell 10m into the water during a crew drill. One crew member was killed and four others were injured, two of them seriously. The ship was detained for several hours to allow witness statements to be taken, and some investigation work was carried out, the preliminary results of which seemed to indicate crew error. The ship sailed around midday on 14 September, for Civitavecchia, missing out La Spezia.
