Royal Caribbean operates seven of the world's ten largest cruise ships, and there are a limited number of dry dock facilities available to take these enormous ships. So, when one of this small number is put out of action by an accident, alternative arrangements are needed. On 1 April, that is exactly what happened to floating dock number 2 at the Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport, when a crane fell onto Oasis of the Seas while she was undergoing repairs to one of her Azipods, putting the dock out of action and causing the ship to list to starboard. A number of cabin balconies and to the Aqua Theatre at the stern were damaged. Eight shipyard workers were injured in the incident.
