In this issue of Ships Monthly we have an excellent article by boxboat expert Andrew McAlpine covering the ten biggest container ships in service in 2018. Some of the statistics that this has provided are extraordinary, as the size and capacity of these enormous ships can be somewhat difficult to comprehend without seeing them at first hand. All are about 400m in length and can carry 20,000 containers, sometimes a few more.
