摘要

The Liberian-flagged container ship MSC Kia Ora (pictured) has been banned from entering Australian ports for three months by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA). The ban comes after a complaint was received during an AMSA inspection conducted in Brisbane on 14 March, the complaint alleging crew had been underpaid. The inspection found that underpayments had been ongoing for four months and crew were owed more than AUS$53000. In addition, two of the vessel's four generators were faulty and there were other health and safety issues.
