Alternative maritime power supply in ports

EMISSION REDUCTION Alternative maritime power supply systems (AMP) in ports allow the reduction of NO_X and SO_X emission from ships during their port stay. The Cavotec Group developed different types of amp systems to significantly reduce environmental pollution. The increase in the global trading and the concern of governments and public opinion about the environment forced the maritime sector to consider priority the reduction of air emission to continue their growth. Such focus has led to new innovations such as Alternative Maritime Power (AMP) supply systems for port and shipping customers. These systems allow a vessel to disengage its engines when in port and drastically reduce its effect on local pollution levels.
