Busy Time For Ostensjo Rederi

Ostensjo Rederi A/S, Norway, has reported success with the design and operation of towage vessels with recent contracts highlighting this. Leading Turkish tug builder and operator, Sanmar Denizcilik, is nearing completion of Vivax stern drive tug, due to be delivered at the end of 2008. Once complete the vessel will be delivered to Ostensjo Rederi A/S of Norway. The vessel has a bollard pull of 80tons and is powered by two Wartsila 6L26 main engines, with a rating of 3264hp. During trials the vessel managed a maximum speed of 13.5kts free running. The vessel has been built to an improved Robert Allan RAmpart 3200 design.
