February 2017 saw Johannes Ostensjo, founder and long-time chief executive of Ostensjo Rederi, presented with the OSJ Lifetime Achievement award at the Annual Offshore Support Journal Conference, Awards & Exhibition. Mr Ostensjo traces his company's origins back to 1973, when he saw an opportunity coming in the North Sea. "The oil industry there was gradually getting bigger. For me, that was almost the best moment, getting things together and entering a new industry, securing funds from investors and getting people to believe in me," he said.
