Zhejiang Orientx Fire Safety Equipment has become the first company in China to be awarded certification in line with the Marine Equipment Directive (MED) 96/98/EC by BSI Product Services. The certification covers fire extinguishing equipment manufactured and supplied by Zhejiang Orientx, and will allow the products to be used onboard ships, including those operating under the flags of EU member states. The company believes that this opportunity will give it access to a large and potentially lucrative new market.
