Colombo Dockyard Selects Autoship Design Solutions

Sri Lankan shipbuilder Colombo Dockyard is implementing a new software package from Autoship Systems Corporation of Canada to assist the design process for its future newbuilds and ship-repairs. The software solution adopted by Colombo Dockyard is known as 'The AutoSHIP WORKS Package', and consists of the following software programs; 'Autoship' (hull design software), 'Autopower' (resistance & power prediction), Autohydro' (hydrostatics & stability), Autoplate' (shell expansion), Autostructure' (internal structural design) and 'Production Manager' (nesting & parts management). This system combines Autoship Systems' well established user interface design with a robust software functionality that will make it easier for Colombo Dockyard to meet its challenging delivery schedules.
