UK boatbuilder Sunseeker International is expanding its repertoire by building boats in aluminium for the first time. This will enable the company to construct vessels in excess of 52m (170ft). The new project, codenamed 'Zeus', will initially include two models of 52m and 54m (177ft) in length, with the possibility of larger vessels being built in the future. A series of outline designs have already been produced. Sunseeker currently has three 37m (121ft) composite superyachts in production on the south coast of England and a 30m (98ft) model that is due to debut at the London International Boat Show in January.
