Interceptor trim system monitor aims to improve boat handling

Leading Swedish manufacturer of interceptors, Humphree, has announced the release of a new drive functionality option for its interceptor trim systems. The new option results in less heel when turning boats in planing or semi-planing speeds.rnCoordinated Turn Optimisation System (CTOS) is a function which monitors the rudder position in planing and semi-planing speeds. During the boat turn the interceptor blade movement is automatically coordinated with the rudder movement in order to create a heel angle that is both comfortable for the passengers and safe. This is similar to how it works on an aircraft to achieve a perfect turn. It is believed that turning ability can also be improved with this system.
