Volvo Penta adds more to IPS system

Volvo Penta has revolutionised the market for traditional inboard installations with its IPS system. The programme is now being expanded further with new and larger drive units, coupled to the 121itre engine. Volvo Penta is also due to launch a further two power classes - IPS 1050 and IPS 1200 - in the third quarter of 2010.rnWith forward-facing and efficient propellers, the IPS system is the market leader in 'pod installations', which has largely replaced the boat industry's traditional shaft installations.
