SIX research vessel order

STX Finland Oy has signed a EUR35 million (US$48 million) contract to build a fisheries research vessel for Namibia's Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources. The boat will be deployed to monitor levels of fish stock in Namibian waters, as well as to sort, process, freeze and store fish, collect biological samples and engage in seabed and meteorological research.
