Indian builder Short Shipyard has delivered a 33m, 437gt tug to the Gujurat Maritime Board (GMB), the body responsible for overseeing 41 ports dotted across approximately 1,600km of coastline on India's west coast. The Shoft newbuild, christened GMB 3, features a breadth of 10.5m and onboard capacity for 16 crew and 10 passengers, and has been fitted with dual Cummins QSK60-M diesel engines, generating l,470kW apiece and driving a pair of Schottel Z-SRP 1012FP azimuthing drives. This arrangement grants the vessel a bollard pull of 41tonnes when operating at 85% MCR.
