Larson plans the great Escape

This year saw Minnesota-based builder and designer Larson Boat Group (LBG) unveil the first of its Escape TTT line of 'pontoon boats', developed for the leisure market. LBG presides over a 65,000m2 facility in Little Falls, responsible for manufacturing the groups established Larson, Larson FX, Striper and Triumph brands. While a typical, raft-like pontoon boat model depends on round pontoons to plough through the water, the Escape TTT has instead incorporated a patented construction method - known as tapered tube technology (TTT) - to plane through the water, to enhance smoothness and cornering.
