Hyndsight Vision Systems has unveiled a waterproof camera and monitor unit, intended to provide real-time rear and / or side vision to small-to-medium-sized boat operators. The manufacturer's Journey 1 system can either be hardwired or installed as a totally wireless solution; in the latter case, running off a rechargeable battery capable of holding a charge for approximately five hours, with secure 2.4GHz integration. Each installation comprises: a glare-free, 127mm (high) × 184mm (wide), 0.36kg monitor, for installation near the wheel; a wide-angle, 0.32kg camera, with non-fish-eyed view; two flush mounts; an antenna set; and two chargers.
