CJR Propulsion has launched a propeller design and production service, intended to "support boatowners and operators in their most challenging moments" by turning around propeller orders within a two-week timeframe, the company says. The service is being rolled out for owners/operators requiring propellers sized up to 1.5m in diameter and built to Class S requirements - the most accurately designed propellers available, as recognised by ISO 484-2. This standard attributes different levels of manufacturing accuracy to propellers, based on per-blade positioning, size, spacing and pitch. Ideally, ISO states: "Positions and sizes should match up from blade to blade, within some acceptable margin. This margin is known as a tolerance."
