Superseding the old buoy network

Aplan by the respective Maritime Authorities of Gdynia and Szczecin to replace ageing buoy tenders used for channel maintenance duties has reached the contractual stage, with two 60m multipurpose vessels having been ordered at Remontowa Shipbuilding.Deliveries are anticipated by June 2020. The chosen design developed by Remontowa Marine Design & Consulting (RMDC) will provide the capability for tasks including the transport and handling of buoys and other channel markers, as well as hydrographic measurements, emergency response, towage, firefightmg, search and rescue (SAR) and waterway icebreaking.
