Warsash Maritime Academy played host to a presentation by Captain Stephen Chalk MNI, Senior Marine ILO Specialist, Lloyds Register UKI & SWE on the introduction of the MLC 2006. The overall objectives of the Convention are: To establish decent working and living conditions for all seafarers worldwide. This should directly affect the 1.2 million seafarers serving aboard an estimated 69,000 vessels.
