South Asia Gateway Terminals looks to attract more services

The year 2015 has been 'interesting', according to South Asia Gateway Terminals' (SAGT) chief commercial officer Ted Muttiah, mainly because of the spate of elections in Sri Lanka. The resultant political turbulence caused a fair amount of uncertainty, in terms of policies. 'In terms of shipping, it has been more of the same,' says Muttiah. 'For the Port of Colombo, it has been a year of revelation. With three terminals coming into full operation, there has been no sign of deterioration in service levels.'
