The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and U.S. Transportation Command (TRANSCOM) are taking advantage of previously established supply infrastructure to get goods and services to forces in Afghanistan.rn1. TRANSCOM created the Northern Distribution Network of military supply lines through Central Asia to Afghanistan.rn2. DLA's Defense Energy Support Center provides approximately 600,000 gallons of aviation and ground fuel products to U.S. and coalition forces in Afghanistan.rn3. Efforts of the DLA and TRANSCOM intersect at the DLA's Defense Distribution Depot Kuwait Southwest Asia.
