As the United States completes its nine-year struggle in Iraq and its drawdown from a decade-long fight in Afghanistan, many authors have taken this opportunity to focus on how wars end and their final battles. On panel 01 (West) of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC, are the names of the last forty-one servicemen killed in Southeast Asia.
