That pain takes a heavy toll, personally and professionally. Across the country, pain results in more than 50 million lost workdays every year. The scientists at Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development, L.L.C. (J&JPRD) are committed to improving pain relief. "Pain is a huge unmet medical need," remarks Christopher Flores, Ph.D., who heads the drug discovery biology team in analgesia at the J&JPRD facility in Spring House, Pa.
