Redukcja ladunku toksycznego wyniosła w tych latach odpowiednio 72,2 i 86% w stosunku do roku 1991, a jezioro Zaborsko — odbiornik ścieków oczyszczonych odzyskało zdolność do samooczyszcza-%Biological toxicity of wastes produced by the Experimental Farm of the National Research Institute of Animal Production in Cracow was estimated in the years 1991-1993. Mortality of guppy (Poecilia reticulata) in a 4-day severe test was used as a criterion. The following effluents were examined: crude slurry (A), purified slurry (B), municipal wastes diluted with effluent A in the proportion 1:1 (A'), and water from the Zaborsko lake, receiving effluents B (C). It has been found that the toxicity of wastes from the pig farm in Kolbacz decreased in 1992 and 1993 by 2.2 and 9 times, respectively, in comparison with the toxicity in 1991. Average toxicity load at the pig farm effluent treatment plant was 72.2 and 86.0% in 1992 and 1993, respectively. In the last year of the studies, the Zaborsko lake, receiving purified effluents from the pig farm in Kolbacz, regained its autopurification ability.
