FORENSIC-SWAB

The new Forensic-Swab is specifically designed for the stringent purity requirements of forensic science. Suitable for the collection of reference samples and trace evidence at crime scenes, the Forensic-Swab is produced under controlled, hygienic conditions. Each viscose swab is assembled in a screw cap transport tube, individually wrapped, and ethylene oxide (EtO) sterilized. The Forensic-Swab is additionally certified DNA-free with a test procedure based on a detection limit of 0.023 ng DNA/ul extracted volume. The Forensic-Swab's transport tube features an integral ventilation membrane that enables self-drying of the swab within the tube. The common practice of air-drying the swab outside of the tube is unnecessary, reducing the associated risk of mix-up and contamination.
