Komatsu Ltd. sales revenues in fiscal year 2001 was ¥1 trillion 96.3 billion and profits leapt to ¥27.8 billion, up by 61% over the preceding term. The sales volumes by departments was led by the company's leading construction and mining equipment department, as in the past, but the conversion of the Electronics Department from the deficit of the preceding term to a profit of ¥2.9 billion was an outstanding feat.
