The supercomputer is a computer which is capable of performing super high-speed processing for large-scale science and technology computation in wide range of areas. This massive computation is called high-performance computing, or HPC for short. Supercomputers are used in many different areas that are directly related to our lives. For example, they are indispensable for structural and fluid simulation in the design of automobiles and planes and for atmospheric and ocean simulation in global environmental forecasts.
