Developing New Fuels

摘要

Revolving around improved energy efficiency and reduced dependency on oil; efforts to promote the introduction of next-generation automobiles and fuels are getting underway in Japan with an eye to achieving the targets of 2030rnAt present, developments underway in every part of the world to revise the role of conventional automobile technology and vehicle fuels as a result of the steep rise in oil prices and the sense of crisis brought by the issue of global warming. The trend toward reducing dependency on petroleum in vehicle fuels is accelerating, and the diversification of working technologies such as fuel cell vehicles and hybrid automobiles has made great strides forward with regards to automobile technology.
