The compulsion of scientists is to strive con-stantly to advance knowledge. The driving force of enterprises is to innovate and market their innovations to survive. The way ahead is through market forces and trade-offs between the winners and losers. Negotiating these trade-offs to ensure a win-win situation is what we have to learn to do better. Ultimately the ansyver lies within our own consciences.
