摘要

Three simple, sensitive and reproducible spectrophotometric methods (Method A - C) have been developed for the determination of Olanzapine (OZP) in bulk and in dosage forms. Method A is based on the reduction of Folin-Ciocalteu Phenol's (FCP) reagent with OZP under alkaline conditions to form a blue colored chromagen with an absorption maxima of 650 nm. Method B and C are based on the oxidation of the drug with Fe (III) followed by the subsequent chelation of Fe (II) formed with Potassium ferricyanide or 1,10- Phenanthroline resulting in the formation of colored chromagens (λ_(max): 790 nm or 510 nm ).
