摘要

Complexes of types ML_2L'_2, where M = Mn~(Ⅱ), Co~(Ⅱ), L = 2-pyridylaldoxime, L' = neutral ligand (quinoline, isoquinoline, pyridine and γ-picoline) and MLL'2, where M = Cd~(Ⅱ), L = 2-pyridylaldoxime and L~1 = neutral ligand, have been isolated. The complexes are non-electrolytic and monomeric in nature. The magnetic moment values indicate paramagnetic nature of the complexes of Co~(Ⅱ), Mn~(Ⅱ) and diamagnetic nature of Cd~(Ⅱ). Coordination of Schiff base ligand & neutral is revealed by IR spectra, whereas electronic spectral data suggests octahedral geometry for the complexes of Mn~(Ⅱ) and Co~(Ⅱ) but tetrahedral for Cd~(Ⅱ).
