摘要

Copolymers of acrylonitrile (AN) with acrylic acid (AA)/ Itaconic acid (IA) were synthesized by using solvent (DMF)-water suspension polymerization technique at 60°C under nitrogen atmosphere. AIBN was used as the initiator. The mole fraction of acid comonomer was kept at 0.03 in all the experiments. The DMF/water ratio was varied from 20 : 80 to 80 : 20 (w/w) in the reaction medium. The effects of variation of DMF/water concentration on the properties of synthesized copolymers were investigated by acidimetry, viscometry, FTIR and ~1H NMR techniques.
