INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE HORIZONTAL VARIATION OF AIR POLLUTANTS ALONG NORTH FROM THE NODAL CENTRE IN SULTANPUR CITY

Out of water, soil and air pollutions the last has become highly lethal to living and non living creations. In air pollution the gaseous pollutants and the particulate matters are highly significant considerable and effective. Due to fast industrialisation, vehicular race, agri and agro revolution and natural calamities, the air quality in developing countries like India especially, in small towns have crossed the red mark. Sultanpur in U.P. is situated almost at the centre of a parallelogram having Faizabad, Allahabad, Lucknow and Varanasi at the vertices. Thus the air pollution at Sultanpur overweighs all the growths and developments made by the government and nongovernment agencies. In the present investigation a periodic estimation of SOx, NOx and SPM at the nodal point and four sites N_1, N_2, N_3 & N_4 along the Sultanpur Faizabad road has been made and the variation of these pollutants has been studied.
