Temperature Dependence Of Bulk Modulus And Second Order Elastic Constants

摘要

Tallon's model has been modified for determining the bulk modulus and elastic constants for CaF_2, BaF_2, PbF_2 and SrF_2 crystals in the temperature range 300-1200K. The concept of the modified Gruneisen parameter has been adopted to obtain equation of state. The results obtained have been compared with those obtained from Kumar model as well as with the available experimental data. The theoretical predictions as reported in the present paper are well supported by experimental data.
