摘要

Effects of Hall current on oscillatory hydromagnetic free convective flow of a visco-elastic fluid past an infinite vertical porous flat plate with heat and mass transfer have been studied. Hall effect in hydromagnetic flow plays a significant role in the theories of stellar structure at least on the solar surface. The constitutive equations of the problem, such as the equation of continuity, motion, energy and concentration have been formulated adhering to the physical situation of the fluid flow. These equations have been solved by the complex variable method to get expressions for velocity, temperature and concentration and subsequently shear stress, rate of heat transfer and concentration gradient. Through graphs and tables, the behaviours of motion, heat and mass transfer have been studied. It is observed that the magnetic field modifies the flow characteristics to a great extent.
