摘要

An implicit finite-difference solution to the governing equations of incompressible Couette flow with suspended particulate matter is obtained. Starting from the assumed initial conditions the velocity and temperature distribution are computed in steps of time. It is observed that the velocity and temperature are changing most rapidly near the upper plate as to be expected. It has been observed that the final steady state profiles are linear for the fluid phase in the absence of particles where as it is not linear due to the presence of particles. The effect of particle loading is to decrease the velocity and temperature of the carrier fluid.
