SAFARI THROUGH SOUTH AFRICA - II KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Having spent the first ten days on my own in South Africa I now join the tour which begins at the Zebra Country Lodge near Cullinan, a day's drive from Kruger National Park. Our guide, Brenda, gets the group with all the luggage into the coach and we are off - to Kruger Park itself. During the drive Brenda gives us a little history of The Rainbow Nation - that is, African, Asian, European and Coloureds (people of mixed race) and the Cradle of Mankind that is Africa. We are staying at a camp called Nkampeni in large single tents with strong canvas sides and views into the Bush. That evening we eat Antelope Stew, which I take to be Impala and it is delicious.
