However, the final decision on the acceptability or rejection of human reproductive cloning will require a consensus among scientists, doctors, politicians, parliamentarians, judiciary, drug firms, bioethicists, geneticists, theologians, philosophers, sociologists, electronic and press media. Arguments will go on and go on. Anti-cloning activists are as strident in their criticism of human cloning as procloning researchers are confident of its benefits to mankind. To begin with, there is a need for a suitable regularity in mechanism so that benefits of therapeutic cloning could be availed without being confronted with the monstrous ill effects of reproductive cloning.
