A BRIEF REPORT ON THE XIXTH TRAINING PROGRAMME ON SCIENCE COMMUNICATION AND MEDIA PRACTICE - 2005

It is known to all that the Indian Science News Association (ISNA) was set up to cater exclusively science news as well as the reflection of the community of Indian scientists and philanthropists for public understanding of science. The main objective of the Association is to disseminate the scientific knowledge to the common people. It is needless to mention that the progress and prosperity of a nation depend on the progress of the people. In the present era, when science has permeated in all the spheres of life including almost every aspect of the socio-economic scene, it goes without saying that one very effective way of achieving the aforesaid objectives is to create an awareness among the masses of the benefit of science and to cultivate a scientific temper amongst the people.
