Each year, the SC Awards honor the most outstanding contributions in the information security industry. We celebrate the achievements of the IT security pros in the trenches, the innovations happening in the vendor and service provider communities, and the passionate work of government, commercial and nonprofits striving to amplify the importance of our industry. At SC Magazine, we strive to play a part in fighting back the sometimes difficult happenings the industry faces and always will have to confront. Nearly 400 attendees joined us for this year's SC Awards fete, held on March 1 at the InterCon-tinental San Francisco as part of RSA Conference week. For some 20 years now, we've made this small contribution, and we think that this year's event, along with our U.K. gala upcoming in June, reveal to your colleagues, consumers and others that IT security pros like you play vital roles in keeping virtually every internet-connected activity and business blazing bright. You're the keepers of a fundamental flame central to today's global economy. We salute you.
