This is against a backdrop of a growing tide of connected devices, a low-power-connectivity trend and promises of cost-savings in IoT amid legal, ethical and governance questions. The possibilities of asset-tracking connectivity are underlined by subscriber increases and new product focus, including at US MSS satellite operator Globalstar (NYSE:GSAT) and US M2M specialist Orbcomm (NASDAQ:ORBC).
