A Flexible Framework

Today's infrastructures generate substantial costs, especially for administration and personnel. According to the Gartner Group, 75 percent of IT employees in an enterprise are involved in operation and maintenance -which leaves few resources to tackle strategic IT development. Capacity is also underutilized. The Meta Group puts the use of Unix/Windows server capacity in businesses at less than 25 percent, distributed over 24 hours across all servers. That is why software vendors, service providers, and hardware partners are working together to identify ways of cutting costs for their customers, reduce the complexity of IT landscapes, and increase flexibility, security, and reliability.
