ClassNK sets new container standards

ClassNK has published a new set of guidelines on container stowage that are intended to "prevent accidents at sea and contribute to the safe and rational stowage and securing of containers".rnGuidelines on Container Stowage and Securing Arrangements is based on last year's rigorous examination of current standards and practices. The new work takes into account the massive industry changes that have occurred since the society's previous publication - Guide to Cargo Stowage and Securing Arrangements - appeared in 1988.
