Russia's deputy prosecutor-general Alexander Zvyagintsev has acknowledged that putting Somali pirates ashore for trial in Kenya is not an effective option and has called for Kenyan courts to be replaced by a fully funded international tribunal.rnReferring to pirate suspects captured by the warship Admiral Panteleyev on 29 April, after an armed attack on a Russian oil tanker, Zvyagintsev said they could not have been fishermen as they claimed, but he refused to disclose what has been done with them.
